Mr. Tony Mares
Mr. Mares graduated from the University of Miami (FL) in 1984 with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. Mr. Mares has been involved in multiple areas of healthcare for the past +28 years, focusing the past seven years in the nutraceutical industry. Mr. Mares has been instrumental in the development, launch and establishment of new consumer brands. Mr. Mares served as the Director of International sales for Marine Life Sciences LLC (private), Swerve Sweetener, LLC (private) and is a founding member of Wellness Innovations (private). Mr. Mares is currently responsible for launching a new super sweetener, brand name Swerve, into major ingredient suppliers, contract and commercial manufacturers. Mr. Mares experience extends into contract manufacturing, regulatory, operation logistics and ingredient distribution. Mr. Mares has established a significant network of consumer retail distribution channels including; WholeFoods, CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart & other specialty retailers including online distributors.
Mr. William Robbs
Mr. Robbs graduated in 1998 from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. Mr. Robbs has +10 years of experience in the nutritional supplement and functional food industry. Having held multiple positions with Weider Nutrition International, Natrol Inc., Marine Life Sciences, LLC and Swerve Sweetener, LLC, Mr. Robbs possess strong global relationships in consumer retail and B2B distribution channels. Mr. Robbs expertise includes; product development, global regulatory, global retail distribution, contract manufacturing, ingredient sourcing, brand development, operation logistics and private label contracting. Fluent in Japanese, Mr. Robbs experience extends well beyond U.S. boarders, recently advising and coordinating Weider Global Nutrition regulatory registration of 25 products in China and establishing local distribution with partner Seekya Biotech. Mr. Robbs currently represents Swerve Sweetner, LLC in Canada, further demonstrating his ability to successfully navigate global regulatory agencies and establishing commercial distribution channels. In addition to being selected by the San Diego Padres in the 1992 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, Mr. Robbs is a Weider Brand Ambassador & Sponsored Crossfit Athlete.
Mr. Todd Shull
Mr. Shull graduated from Florida State University in 1996 with degrees in Finance, International Business, and Marketing. Mr. Shull has spent 15 years in finance and business development consulting for public and private companies, assisting in strategic M&A and capital raising strategies. Mr. Shull advised Uplift Nutrition(UPNT.OB) on product marketing and commercial launch strategies for ALLDAY Energy Spray. Mr. Shull served as a lead adviser to Uplift in the proposed acquisition of Chef Shamy Gourmet Butter, currently distributed in multiple retail consumer outlets including BJís. Mr. Shullís passion for health & wellness extends into his daily life. As an avid MMA enthusiast, Mr. Shull frequently trains and works with leading UFC athletes. Mr. Shull has lead negotiations for multiple MMA athletes competing in the UFC to secure endorsement deals with leading fitness companies including; BSN, Gaspari Nutrition, Nutrabolics, RecoveryX, and Uplift Nutrition. Mr. Shullís relationships in the Health, Wellness & Fitness Industry extend into retail distribution channels including; The Vitamin Shop, GNC, Max Muscle and multiple on-line distributors including BodyBuilding.com. Mr. Shull is currently advising AMI-Applied Media Intelligence (private), HealthPro Direct (private), and Healthy Drink Discoveries (private) in their ongoing business development activities.
Mr. Franz Tudor
Mr. Tudor graduated from the New York University Stern School of Business in 1995 with a degree in Finance and International Business. Mr. Tudor has spent +15 years as a healthcare investor and medical product business development consultant for public and private life science and nutraceutical companies. Mr. Tudor has extensive experience in progressing regulated medical products from R&D through commercialization including the founding, commercialization and sale of Embolic Protection Inc. and Quanam Medical to Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX). Mr. Tudor is the founding partner and CEO of CPM Strategic Partners, LLC, a life science business development consortium based in Nashville, TN, comprised of former Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical executives, research scientists, manufacturing experts and intellectual property attorneys advising the Technology Transfer Departments of Universities and Research Institutes with out-licensing and strategic initiatives. In addition to TIG and CPM, Mr. Tudor is currently leading business development and strategic efforts for publicly traded and privately held medical product companies including; Biomimetic Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: BMTI), Healthy Drink Discoveries (private), Gordian Surgical, LLC (private) and Virchow Biotechnology Private Ltd (private). Mr. Tudor has extensive experience in medical and private label product R&D, clinical trial design & management, global regulatory, intellectual property, direct & distributor based medical product sales & marketing, financial modeling & forecasting, outsourcing solutions and strategic business development including M&A.
In-House General Counsel
Mr. William A. Salgado is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law (1998; J.D. with Distinction) and the University of Florida (1994; B.A. with Honors). He brings over 13 years of legal experience in the areas of corporate and general business law. Mr. Salgado has been an attorney with the Hurtig Law Group since September 2010, where he has handled corporate law and personal injury matters. Prior to such time, Mr. Salgado was an attorney with the law firm of Akerman Senterfitt in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a law firm with over 500 attorneys and offices located throughout the United States. While there, Mr. Salgado was a member of the firmís nationally recognized Corporate Practice Group, focusing primarily on counseling privately held and publicly traded companies with respect to general corporate, M&A and other transactional matters. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Salgado served as General Counsel for FB Foods, Inc., a national distributer of pre-packaged health based meal-kits for children which retailed in over 10,000 grocery stores nationwide, including Wal-Mart, Krogers, Safeway, Food Lion and Publix. From 1998 to 2002, he was a member of the Corporate Department with the law firm of Bilzin Sumberg in Miami, Florida. Mr. Salgado has experience in documenting and negotiating transactions throughout the corporate law spectrum, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and a variety of financing transactions. Mr. Salgado has been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since 1998.
